UGLY DUCKLING RING

Casted sterling silver

Wall thickness: approx 1mm

Process:
Milled wax from CAD file then casted in sterling silver

Story:
This ring is inspired by one of the most well-know children´s story written by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The story suggests the importance of being patient for the good to come through the eventual transformation of the duckling to the swan, as well as acceptance and forgiveness to name a few.

The centerpiece of the ring embodies both the beautiful grown swan and her young self. In addition to the direct relation to the story, it also alludes to the embracing and the accepting of one´s past self.
